The old and the new
Liverpool Anglican Cathedral and the Liverpool equivalent of 'The Eye' seen from across the Mersey.
The docking platform in the foreground is 200 metres off the banks and is to 'hold' shipping while they wait for tides/space to moor up to load and unload.
Until about six weeks ago there was an extension to this, a further 30 metres out.
But a ship bumped into it and knocked it down! Apparently the remains can be seen at low tide.
