Wee pals

Ethan and I met up with my pal Lesley and her son Logan today so the boys could go out on their balance bikes. Logan is a bit of a speed demon on his while Ethan is still a bit more cautious, but they had great fun. We went up to the park at Bellsquarry at Ethan's request - not the best idea though as it's so boggy there we all got really muddy. Then back through our housing estate and along to Spar to buy a wee sweetie for the boys. They get on so well - really hope they end up at the same school and continue to be pals as they grow up.

Home for a quick lunch before driving into Edinburgh for ice-skating. Ethan still did well today but was worn out from being out on his bike for so long this morning and he got a bit tetchy at times when I was trying to encourage him to stand by himself. He can do it but lacks the confidence to let go of me for any length of time yet.

Granny and Grandpa came over after dinner, ready for their childminding shift tomorrow, and received a wonderful welcome from Ethan. He also proceeded to tell Granny that we had a birthday cake for her ... nothing like giving away a surprise too early huh!
