A bag.....

....of the good stuff!

I've done an extra day this week and so it has been six days on the trot, but they have been good sessions. I hope Royton ends the week on the same note tomorrow. 

One lady was lying on the donation chair and the agitator was bleeping as the blood flow was a  bit too slow. "Just squeeze your hand for a few seconds and then relax" I told her....no change. "Clench your buttocks," big muscles get the blood flowing...but not this time. "Move you feet about," still no change. "Raise an arm in the air and whistle a tune at the same time," her arm went up and she just stopped herself from whistling as we laughed....this actually worked though and the flow increased. As I told someone yesterday, 'if you make 'em laugh they bleed faster'. 

It turned out that the donor was a psychology teacher and she said she was going to use that as an example in her lessons tomorrow....it just shows how people can easily be persuaded to do things when asked by someone in a position of authority. We couldn't stop laughing and she whizzed through the rest of her donation. 

I shall endeavour to catch up with comments this weekend, I'm just too tired at the end of the night.
