Heron at sunset
A beautiful, sunny Autumn afternoon. Mike got back at around 2 o'clock so after some lunch we went for a drive down to the bird hide. Hundreds of geese took off just after we arrived an amazing sight and sound. On to Cromarty and a walk around the harbour watching the sun go down. A heron landed at the edge of the sunbeam. Beautiful light.
On the way home I turned round and noticed a huge orange moon coming up. We stopped to take a few photos and then again at the beach in Rosemarkie . People were still bringing all sorts of items for the bonfire.
On to the point where I walked round to the lighthouse made it back to the car before it became too dark.
