Wintry sun

Bright sunshine this morning when I set off on my drive to have lunch in Sussex with my old WI friends, but within a few miles there was a lot of mist. I couldn't see the top of Box Hill and I couldn't see the top of Leith Hill but down below fortunately there wasn't enough mist to make driving difficult.
Our numbers at lunch were depleted with one person not well and another got the date wrong. As usual we dined well and made an attempt to put the world to rights. We gave up on the latter, quite beyond us!
