Nesting time .....

..... for the shags alongside the Ashley Rakahuri River, at Waikuku Estuary.

It was my first time for seeing some of the birds - it was wonderful being with such knowledgeable birders.

I had a super day at the Estuary today with Nature Photographic Society. Lots of different birds, good weather and lovely company. What more can you want!
