Discovery by Bike

I got out my bike this afternoon - the first time in over a year.  It felt good to have the air in my face and feel my legs and lungs working away.  There are several designed cycle routes from the village - all along quiet country lanes or residential streets.  One of the things I love about getting out for walks and on my bike is discovering new places and getting to know the area in which I live.  This area is new to me so it was great fun finding parks, allotments and nature reserves.  Being a sunny afternoon there were plenty of other people out too.  Today is 5th November and as I write this I can see fireworks in the sky - its the perfect night for them - cold and clear and still.
