We did get some snow...
but now it is mostly gone and we are dealing with mud. The rain started yesterday afternoon and though not a hard rain, it was enough to make the ground soggy, then at daylight it started snowing. Small flakes but thick so that everything was just whitel We had about an inch. The sun came out for a short while, the clouds parted and reformed, it snowed again for a few minutes and now it is just cloudy and cold.
The hunters went out this morning and well, they did not see any elk and it was so white and foggy I don't see how they expected to anyway. They came in for some hot soup and a sandwich at lunchtime and a few have gone back out! They should have waited until the snow stopped because I know the animals will be coming out to eat now! These six guys are having to leave in the morning to get back home to Oklahoma and work on Tuesday.
I love how the clouds settled down low in the valley of this mountain across the street and I was hoping it would snow bunches so that I could walk along the creek and get photos. Mud is just not the same thing.
