The Arnside Bore

A high tide today which meant a good chance of seeing the Bore race in past Arnside.

Top left: there it is in the distance.
Top right: getting closer.
Bottom left: now you can see that the leading edge is several inches deep. What you can’t see from these shots is that it is racing in faster than you can run.
Bottom right: A brave canoeist battles with the waves as the bore goes under the viaduct.

Fascinating to see but also adding to our pleasure was the fact that our good friends, Kendal Blippers Sheilwill and Willllwynbedw were also there enjoying the fun. My extra, with Mrs. K. on the left shows this happy Blipmeet.
