Butterfly

A very frosty start to the day - but lovely and sunny.

Out on our walk I spotted several of these Red Admiral butterflies - and managed to catch this one warming in the sunshine on some nettles. In processing I took away all the colour from the foliage which helped the insect to stand out a bit more.

We met up with our daughter for lunch and then she came back home to collect her dog. He was rather pleased to see her - but wasn’t so keen to go back to their house. I think he is quite happy here. I do think that they will be acquiring a puppy friend for him very soon (by the end of the month possibly)…
