Ella is doing a project on toys and had to find out about grandparents’ toys. This was Mr C’s.

I told her about the stilts my dad made for me. 2 syrup tins washed and upturned, with 2 holes punched in each to take lengths of string, and off we went. Now she wants Mr C to make some for her. I think she’ll be a teenager before we empty 2 syrup or treacle tins. (Beans tins are not quite wide enough).
