I have spoken to one of our friends tonight who goes for a first blood transfusion tomorrow.  This is the opening gambit in his fight against an inoperable cancer which revealed itself over the last month.  He is younger than we are.  Please hold him and all those fighting ill health in your thoughts and any prayers you may have.
