Day 4 - Wonder of the world

Up early today 6.45 and I'm on holiday!!!

Day started with a five hour drive from Delhi to Agra in thick fog which included a 17 car/lorry pile up on the highway which luckily we weren't involved in but saw the aftermath.

We arrived at our amazing hotel, Agra is quite run down and then you turn into our hotel grounds and it's another world. Outside the gates people are struggle to feed themselves.

We then went to the Taj Mahal and it was breathtaking, I've seen it in lots of photos but they just don't do it justice it's so much bigger than you see in the pictures and up close the marble is so detailed. It glitters where the sun hits it. We went inside as well and around all the grounds.

After the Taj we visited the Agra fort which was similar to the red fort in Delhi but the original and the man who had the Taj Mahal built lives here.

On the way back to the hotel I asked our tour guide if he could take me to a pharmacy as I have some insect bites, we pulled up on a dirt track road and he took me to a shack which was the pharmacy I showed them my bites and they then gave me some cream which I have to say seems to be doing the trick god knows what it is!!

Another fab day in India!!
