Maisie in the Poppies....

The California Poppies are in full flower. There are lots of these bright cheery flowers growing alongside the river. Some folk call them “Four O’Clocks” because they usually furl up their petals in the late afternoon. They remain furled through the night and then wait for bright sunshine the next morning before opening up to their full glory.
Tonight I went to Camera Club for the last formal meeting of this year. A very interesting meeting on this occasion.
