one day in France

By Frenchtoast

What a morning!

Today started normally enough, we went for a lovely walk, Mr F, Dick, Huxley (Jan's son's dog aged 13) and George who is on the right, took the short route, and we girls plus Archie took the longer walk.
When we all met up again the four old guys, in the top photo, were waiting for us, but when George got up he couldn't walk, and fell over. He tried and fell several times, and it was clear that he had a weakness down the right side of his body.
We carried George to the car and dropped Millie off while we phoned the vet. The lower photo was taken while I waited with George in the car, you can see the fear in his eyes as he doesn't understand what was happening to him.
We couldn't get an appointment for another four hours, as the vet was in surgery, but by that time George was completely back to normal!
We spoke to the vet who agreed that George had probably suffered a TIA, and we were to keep him stress free, and cancel his hospital appointment on Monday, as whatever happens, he's not fit for surgery now.
We are now very relieved as we'd thought it was curtains for poor George, but there's life in the old dog yet!
