Suddenly, after breakfast ...

Disturbed by the sound of rain drumming on the window, I looked up. After the torrential showers of last night, it had been dry - sunny, even - for all of thirty minutes. And there it was - this magnificent double rainbow encircling St John's church. If I'd been a primitive, somehow transported to this moment, I'd have seen it as a great portent. 

As it was, I'm merely crazy enough to have opened the very window that was being lashed by rain in order to have a clear view. (I'm adding as extra the photo I took first, before I opened it, in case I chickened out). I was soaked in seconds.
