Happy Birthday, Rick
It was Rick's birthday while we were on holiday, so obviously, there has to be a picture of him enjoying his holidays (in his new sunglasses i got him... too cool)!
We travelled around the south of the main island on the open top bus (like true tourists!) Our first stop was the Tarxien temples. The first one we came to cost 35 euro to get in and it was also completely booked up until the 16th November... so we found another temple to see (pictured).
After the temples we went to Marsaxlockk, a little fishing village famous for its market which we were told were 'special' on Sundays ... i.e. it was fish day at the market. I can't stand the smell of fish so we spent very little time here, just enough time for me to take a photo or two and we escaped the crowds and the smells....! (In the extras)
Finally we went to the Blue Grotto. I was hoping to go on a little boat inside the cave, but the sea was too rough for the tours to go out. So we wandered about a bit, I took some more pictures and then we had a meal on the front. We looked up the restaurant on tripadvisor and found some incredible comments and responses from the manager... it made some interesting reading!!!
