Still life

Alphabet Challenge this week is S is for Still Life.
I tried to incorporate life, death and remembrance in one image.
The roses are from my birthday flowers - one still quite fresh and one dead. The poppy brooch was my Mum's - given to her by the British Legion in recognition of over 20 years selling poppies for the annual appeal.
