Remembrance

I was at the Remembrance Service in Dunoon this morning.   

It is quite a challenge to cover the Argyll & Bute Constituency at any time but today is impossible because there will be commemorations at literally dozens of memorials the length and breadth of the area.  Cowal - only one part - has them not just at this one but also at Inellan and at Lazaretto Point (in Sandbank) as well as at Strachur.  There will be services in every church too.  

Dunoon's War Memorial sits next to the Queen's Hall which is presently being renovated (as I blipped last week)  but the barriers had been cleared away to allow the event to take place though the workmen were already dragging them back into place as we were walking away.
