Evening Primrose
Yesterday, I had a good old whinge about the beginning of daylight savings in New South Wales, but not in Queensland, so continuing on the same theme, here's today's whinge...
This morning the day became hot, reaching 30 degrees C by about 10 am, so instead of gardening I stayed indoors and caught up on a few chores around the house.
This afternoon, the heat continued and the wind started blowing a gale! I stayed indoors and baked a couple of batches of muffins and a Lemon Meringue Pie, between times venturing outdoors to try and take a photo of my Evening Primrose, planted only a few weeks ago, yet already in flower and looking very pretty.
Well, the wind was blowing so much, the flowers couldn't stay still for me! So, in desperation, I went back indoors and as soon as the wind died down for a moment or two, I zoomed in on the plant, through the window, and clicked quickly!
The results from indoors were far more successful than the blurry images I managed whilst outside in the garden.
Thankfully, the temperature dropped substantially later this afternoon, but it really was an odd weather day.
