Abstract of Clematis...

Mother needed to buy a tomato plant today and so after our usual Sunday coffee sitting in the car enjoying the view over the ocean checked out our local Nichols nursery that had advertised tomatoes planted in hanging baskets. On the way around perusing the flowering plants and potted wonders we came across a lovely clematis. I noticed that it was reflecting in several large ceramic containers/pots and loved the effect. Hope you do too.

Attended the theatre tonight. Otago Festival of the Arts is underway and a friend and I went to stage production of Rita and Douglas featuring Jennifer Ward-Lealand as Rita Angus (noted NZ painter) with Michael Houstoun on piano (playing all the pieces for solo piano by Douglas Lilburn).

I loved it. A simple but eloquent hour and a half of the finer things in life. It had been too long since I last attended a live performance of any genre within the arts. Thank you so much Kathy.
