Day off

I'd set off for work before the kids had got up. The electrician was meant to come at 7am but called Ben to say that he couldn't come unti midday so Ben decided to take the day off. Just before I went for my 9am lecture, Ben sent me a message asking if he could pick up the car. That meant I had to come hone by train. Dalibor (a builder who came round three weeks ago) came round to have another look and we are hoping that he will be able to complete the work. The plumber had come round last night with a quote for putting the boiler back on and other work. The quote was £3000 and when Ben asked him tonight for a breakdown, he said that he wasn't prepared to do that.
Jack had spent the day at the O2 with his house mate Joe watching tennis. Joe had got the tickets free through the university. He was home by 6pm.
