Travel Day Two
We were back on the road by 6am this morning..crossing into the Central Time zone where the clock on the truck and the phones changed to 7am..which made it seem like we were already an hour late starting out! Anyway a good 10 hour day driving before the stop for the night in Columbia, Missouri..about 500 miles which was less than we planned but we were both so tired of being in the truck..and the poor dog needed longer than a gas station stop to stretch her legs and move around. So we stopped early. And had a good seafood supper instead of fast food!
It was mostly foggy and cloudy all day but not terribly cold, just damp and chilly. Which made for some good mono shots taken out of the truck. But I did most of the driving today so photos were very limited. This photo pretty much shows how drab it was..taken at 75mph so it is not so sharp is just about right!
There were gazillions of hay bales and fields and fields of cut corn and maybe wheat all through Nebraska and of course, the cows. Lots of cows! Thankful for the farmers of our country who provide our food. When I see these fields that go as far as the eye can see, it really makes me appreciate the hard work that it takes to farm this land.
Time to sit and be still..I feel like I am still moving!
