A SUMMERS DAY:

A repeat of yesterday, a wonderful day of sunshine & warmth. Quite unintentionally, I seem to be going through a pink period, pink irises, pink roses & now a pink rhododendron. Anna Rose Whitney is a vigorous old girl, tall & upright & always a mass of bloom. It does look a bit lolly pink, but in reality, a lovely deep rose-pink. Very pretty.
The snow won’t last long in this heat.
