Bagan sunset
Bagan is amazing - so many temples, many of them almost 1,000 years old, datiung from when Buddhism first arrived in Myanmar. Some are even older, predating Buddhism. It's a big area, so we had a driver for a day and worked out an itinerary with him, visiting some of the larger, more more distant temples. At the end of the day we joined quite a crowd of people on a man-made viewing mound to watch the sun go down. There is only one temple people are officially allowed to climb, which is closed following last year's' earthquake (although no-one stops you going up the others unless they are completely unsafe)
