A view of Oaxaca

We visited some friends who live higher up on the hillside than we do, and their view of Oaxaca is in a different direction. The church in left center is Santo Domingo, a beautiful church that is on a walking only street. It is popular for weddings on Saturdays, and many people watch as the happy couples leave the church to be greeted by a band, pineapple dancers, and other fiesta figures. The entire entourage, including the attendees of the wedding, then parades down the street, led by the band. Quite festive!
