Just for the record

I don't remember seeing so many red admirals flying around this late in the year. Several fluttered over the garden today, some apparently courting, while this one settled on the Japanese arelia (or Fatsia). You can see glimpses of the clear blue sky we've enjoyed today - only it's even bluer than in the photo. Like the butterflies, I'm making the most of it.
