Above and beyond!

I had arranged to have a big grocery order delivered from Tesco's this evening, but mid morning they phoned to say that because of the gales and the possibility of the barriers being closed, they wouldn't be able to make it.

They offered to come before 3pm but Mike and I were both working in the afternoon and couldn't be here to accept it.  A compromise was reached - Mike put stickers on the fridge and freezer and delivery driver David agreed to put all the perishable food in the appropriate places.  I came home to find everything where it should be, and all the rest of the order neatly laid out on the kitchen table.  Well done David!  What a star!  What a service!   

Like so many other big national and multi national organisations, there are things we don't like about them and decisions we don't agree with, but locally they are brilliant and do go the extra mile for us, so you won't hear a word of complaint from me about them!
