Autumn shades

A hastily snatched shot in the garden, taken before setting off for Claughton in Lancashire where Pete and I were going to be working over the weekend. 

It's never fun driving on a Friday afternoon, and letting the Sat Nav take us on the ecological route, which involved negotiating the Bradford ring road, was a huge mistake. I had been hoping that I might be able to stop for a photograph on the journey, but by the time we arrived in more scenic countryside it was almost dark and bucketing with rain. 

After driving for four and a half hours without a break, I was very glad to reach the pub where we were staying.  Luckily the room was comfortable and dinner was excellent.
