Herbarium training day

An excellent day spent at a training workshop led by Fred Rumsey of the Natural History Museum, run as part of the 'Lincolnshire Plants: Past and Future' project. The morning was spent learning how to collect herbarium specimens, and in the afternoon we mounted specimens of some of Lincolnshire's inspirational plants, which will be used for education. This herbarium sheet is Red Clover, a very common species, but if you look in large you may be able to see that it was collected by Chris Packham which must give it added value!
