A winner

Today S had her Rotary Chef Competition. Each secondary school enters 2 young people who have to cook a 3 course meal in 2 hours. They all go to the College of FE to use their kitchen.

Parents were invited to go at the end to see what they had done and hear the results. S looked in shock when she was announced as the overall winner. I have to say there were quite a few happy tears in my eyes. Couldn't be prouder.

I think the next round is in Jersey - another of the Channel Islands. Looks like we'll have to keep eating poached egg with hollandaise sauce, sea bass and pavlova!
