Cambridge

Mum and I went to Cambridge today for our annual pre-Christmas outing. What a fabulous day!!
After a quick detour to Halfords in Milton Keynes to get my mum's headlight bulb replaced we headed straight for the Orchard Tea Garden in Grantchester. Ordinarily we sit outside in the deck chairs and enjoy a cup of tea in the company of the robins but today, unfortunately all the deckchairs and tables were soaked.  And it was freeezing!
So we didn't stop and headed straight to the Park & Ride. From then on the day followed it's usual pattern - we are creatures of habit!!
The bus stops at John Lewis so we went there first. To look at all the gorgeous Christmas decorations. And almost everything else!
Then it was to the market, Marks and Spencer's, TKMaxx and Cath Kidston.
We're not really shoppers but it's our annual chance to look at all the lovely Christmas things and think about presents. Mostly things we'd like for ourselves!!
And things we'd like to eat!!
As usual the day flew by and it was soon getting dark and time to head home.
I bought a few presents - which are obviously top secret and can't be discussed here!!, and some Christmas cards - which means I stand a chance of getting them in the post before December 23rd!!!
