A "make and mend" day

In the Navy/Royal Marines the order "Make & Mend"  is a period in a ships routine set aside for the repair and maintenance of personal clothing and kit. .
Well today That's what Mrs M and I had. This morning we walked into town for a coffee and this afternoon we did jobs in our utility area painting and sorting equipment and making things shipshape
