Budapest: Day 8

We fly home via Amsterdam this evening and spent the morning wandering along the banks of the Danube and then into the old Jewish quarter. The main photograph was taken in the centre of the wartime Ghetto where in the course of a few weeks around 100,000 Jews were killed or starved to death.

To finish on a brighter note the "extra" is a view from Pest, across the Dabube  to Buda. It shows the Chain Bridge, the Church of Matthias and the Fisherman's Bastion.
