a spot of bright

The weather is dreary today but I had delicious lunch at a little French cafe in Post Alley (Pike's Market), with my sister. Omelet and greens - so good. We shared a small pitcher of drinking hot chocolate with a decadent dollop of chantilly cream. Just what the doctor ordered. 

I had a little time before my haircut appointment so I wandered the main lane in the market and took this picture of a fruit display. You can forget you are in rainy Seattle for a bit, enjoying the amazingly diverse array of fruit, vegetables, sea food, and anything else you can name.

The new light rail stop at UW is very convenient so I enjoy taking public transit when I go into town now.
