Zihua Buses

After three weeks of traveling by public transport in Long Beach with their homogeneous buses and published schedules, it is good to get back to Zihua's individualized buses, complete with loud music (note the twin speakers mounted to blast sound into the bus), and every ten minute or so pick up. The air conditioning here is provided by opening a window (and many times the doors) and the drivers are happy to stop anywhere you need to exit. As we learned during a long-ago Rotary Exchange Seminar; "it's not good, it's not bad, it's just different". The transportation systems in these two countries, at least these short-haul buses, could not be more different, but both provide a very necessary service - one of which we are happy to take advantage.
