Meridian marker

I had a day off work today. The plan was to prepare for my talk to the local Natural History Society on Thursday but somehow I still haven't got round to it. It was pretty bleak on the common all day. Passing the meridian marker made me think that I might start a new photographic project a kind of history of the village in fifty images a bit like the BBC's 'history of the world in 100 objects' but without the objects and probably not a hundred......
