B&W

Beautiful day and much too good to be indoors. Spent the whole day outside trying to repair and or replace various horse fences. Rosie (the black American Quarter Horse in the background) has somehow picked up the habit of simple putting her head under the top electric fence wire and then simply walk over the lower wire. Where the wires are old (most date from 2002) and been subject to wear and tear/rubbing they often then break. Have to say we hardly ever put electricity on the fences as quite there is a place, usually gates, where the wire hasn't been hung properly and earths the power making it pointless.

So now trying in some critical places to replace wire with galvanised water pipes. Got loads of old long pipes and a few old fittings from old cow stables. Long process though making things fit. Would be simpler if one had a healthy bank a/c and started from scratch.

Anyway was not too bad but darkness stopped work. Had at sunset quickly taken the photo. It was much darker than it looks but the chickens were still enjoying finding worms the horses hooves had made available.

Evening caught up with the Budget reflection. Strikes me that matters Brexit could be about to change. Did smile at the Daily Telegraph's Brexit Editor umming and ahhing and stuttering to explain away forecasts. Naturally there was a solutiopn I hadn't thought of "all forecasts have always been false" and "London has the highest productivity in Europe" ....... this is getting weaker by the day. I don't like the idea of the UK finances getting back to normal by 2060! The guarantee on my Zimmer frame runs out in 2050 and I'm not to confident I can walk all that way to collect my higher pension payout from the Post Office.
