Well known as a rich source of vitamin c, rosehips are also used in cosmetic products for anti-scarring, anti-wrinkling and anti-ageing. I have also discovered that it has been found to be beneficial in relieving arthritis. I will have to give it a try.

But I can't help smiling when I think of the use we found for it when we were young. Carefully peeled, and thrust down the shirt of a friend, the rose hip successfully lived up to its nickname of 'itching powder'. It paid to be able to run fast to avoid the consequences of capture!
