Today's the day .............................. to bring in the harvest

Such a lovely day today as we drove up through the Scottish Borders. If it hadn't been for the temperature reading on the dashboard telling you that it was 9°C outside - it was easy to imagine that it was more like 29°C. The sky was brilliant blue with not a cloud in sight.

And everywhere in the fields there were big machines taking advantage of the good weather to get the last of the crops in. It seemed to be late in the year for this? Not sure whether they've had to wait till now because of the weather or maybe this is the second lot of cutting going on.

It was all systems go out there today - that's for sure .............................
