Chilly Robin
This little robin was watching me put mittens over my gloves. I was at the start of the climb to Catbells, and the wind was icy cold. His feathers were so puffed up that he looked almost spherical.
When he had finished posing, he flitted at speed between the dead bracken to catch tiny insects above the snow. It's a marvel to me that such tiny creatures manage to stay warm in this weather.
