Nuala Kennedy....

I'm originally from Scotland, and am constantly amazed at the wild synchronicity i experience living over here in Canada, and particularly since moving to Cape Breton Island! So here is one of the more recent experiences!

We had a booking in our Chalet cabin here at Big Hill retreat, for 2 women taking part in the festival......there was a 3rd woman in the car when they checked in! Turned out to be Nuala Kennedy, whom i wasn't familiar with! After some chats she recognizing what remains of my scottish accent (which apparently is quite a lot!) and asked where in Scotland i was from? Edinburgh i said.....oh that's where i live now (she's Irish) said she.....on Easter Road! Well, I couldn't believe it, my granny lived on Easter Road and i spent a large portion of my childhood on that very road! Pretty wild eh!

Today there was a free concert down in Baddeck - CBC was recording it and interviewing the musicians! It was fabulous and their music was amazing!

Getting colder here for sure, but it's still be a very lovely day weather wise!
