Cool find
Finn is proudly displaying the slab of free ice lolly dispensed in the Dublin Mountains. One to two inches thick, according to his own estimate.
It was a very cold but most enjoyable walk around the Ticknock loop. The fact that I could manage the 6k without limping was in itself a delight.
At one stage we saw a Springer Spaniel that Mrs Raheny declared to be lost within 30 seconds.
The rationale behind the statement was that it looked all wet and muddy.
I kind of tried to remind her what Nana's lot look like within 3 minutes of a walk down to Nana's beach, but she was having none of it.
I could immediately foresee the danger of being lumped with a daft (they only come in one factory default mode, them spaniels...), "lost", defenseless Springer...
I managed to change the subject ("Does Mimi's cough sound like the start of an asthma attack?") and swiftly moved them on.
Ten minutes later, we met a not-overly-panicked walker who asked us if by any chance we have not seen a black and white dog.
It wasn't his dog. He was looking after it for his brother. Sort of.
In a non-too-panicked way...
