I saw the crescent

some other less moronic lens tester saw the whole of the moon. 

I was testing Nana's Christmas present yesterday (thanks Nana! I'll do my very very best to look happily surprised on Christmas morning) and I was quite alarmed at how soft the dozen shots I took today looked in their large format on my laptop. Shite, thought I, another item that Nana will have to return and track (like Martin's squirrel camera, that actually films armchairs for hours on end). I was about to put the lens in its box when I realised that there were two protective films, one on the front of the lens, the other at the back. I had failed to notice and remove the second one. Doh!
