Birds of Big Island

I spotted this wee thing early this morning. It is a Saffron Finch. She had a duller feathered youngster with her and she was feeding it in the grass.
I enjoy looking out for ‘new’ birds when I travel. In addition to this, I also caught sight of a Northern Cardinal, a beautiful red bird. Unfortunately it was perched on the top of a tree far away so you really have to zoom in to see it properly. I think a new lens might be worth saving for!
