The rec'

The local playground has changed out of all recognition since I used to bring my children here, nearly fifty years ago. In those days there were just swings, a seesaw and a roundabout and there was no colour, just plain wood. More recently it has been grandchildren that I have accompanied there and the climbing frames, swings etc are more challenging and more colourful. Now even George and Jake have grown out of "the rec" .So for me no more sitting on a cold bench waiting for children to decide they have had enough.
No, I wasn't there today for old times' sake. I was at a coffee morning at the home of a friend who lives opposite, so I used the playground car park.
