Whitecaps
We had overnight rain of biblical proportion which ceased later morning for a while. We took the opportunity to walk Nell up to the top of the hill to see what we might see. The plan was then to walk all the way down past the site to the Industrial archeology down at the foot of the cliff. The weather and the walking conditions after the rain combined to scotch all that. We just went up the hill, took a few photos and after examining the downward path chose to return by the way that we went up.
Conditions were dull and damp but clear enough to see that the overnight rain had fallen as snow on the mountains, which were also wreathed in cloud. See if you can tell which white bits are what.
Lunch followed, once again at the amazing on-site bar. We lashed out another 11 Euros each and I had Rice and Mussels followed by breadcrumbed pork fillet (nicely tender, lightly crumbed and delicately flavoured with garlic - yummy) with chips and then some homemade yoghurt. We tried the red wine offering today.
I think I may never want to leave this place!
We had a proper soaking just moving from the bar back to the van so sat things out for a while until we could take Nell out again, taking the easier route down the hill to see the Estado del cargadero. No photos unfortunately, too wet for the camera, but the light was very striking and the structure and scenery were very photogenic. The Atlantic was looking dark green, moody and producing some good breakers. Perhaps tomorrow...
