Wednesday: Hotel Europe

I had a fairly pointless drive out to Surrey this afternoon - it was for a pretty insubstantial meeting that didn't last terribly long. Still, sitting in traffic listening to music was actually ok, particularly as I had made sure I wasn't under time pressure.

This evening, K. and I headed into town to meet up with Sarah for drinks and 'The Birds And The Beets' in Gastown. I met her through work and she runs a company specialising in adapted lighting for shift workers. I could have done with that when I worked shifts - I can still remember how uncomfortable glaring strip lighting could be at 0300 in the morning. Anyway, her cousin runs a Wednesday wine-tasting event at the bar.

We were parked by the 'Hotel Europe' which has a fabulous interior.

And, please be honest with me, do we really have to put up with three (or more) years of this joke of a President? Every....single.....day it's something.
