Boston Common Christmas Lights

Tonight the mayor of Boston officially lit the Christmas tree on Boston Common, along with all the other festive lights that decorate the trees in the park.  There was a firework display immediately after the tree lighting, but it was so short and so puny that by the time I'd grabbed my camera it was over!  This is a view of the Common with the Charles River and Cambridge in the background taken from our bedroom window.

I am not a fan of crowds, so I opted out of going to the tree lighting.  I plan to photograph the tree tomorrow or the next day once the initial excitement has died down.
