It Must Be Christmas

It's December, so here is my first Christmassy blip. To show how noncommercial it is here, when I saw these lights being put up on our castle two days ago, I spent a while wondering which feast day I hadn't been aware of... and then realised it must be Christmas! Duh.

However it is a holiday today - the Restoration of Independence, commemorating this day in 1640 when Portugal regained her independence after 60 years of Spanish rule.
